Meet our staff, members of the local community who make everything that happens possible.
Ginger Hartman began her career in the funeral industry in 2001 as an office manager for another funeral home in the local area. After working in the industry for a short time, she decided that she wanted to help families at a more personal level and she then began her internship for her funeral director license. She was awarded her license in 2002 and began her career.
While working at the same funeral home and waiting on families, she was asked to obtain her insurance license and develop a prearranged program. She received her insurance license in 2003 in Louisiana and in 2006 in Texas.
While doing prearrangements and waiting on families she was again tasked with implementing a Community Development Program. The position was designed to get involved in local communities to promote the funeral home. She dove into the new task by developing group presentations and became an active member of the community.
In January 2009, Ginger joined the Boone team and has devoted her time to learning about different Veteran programs and promoting their importance. As a USAF Veteran and wife of an Army retiree, she truly believes in Veterans receiving the recognition they deserve.
Ginger not only holds Funeral Director and Embalmer licenses, but she also holds a Life and Health Insurance license, is a Notary Public, has a Paralegal Certificate, a Real Estate license, and has an Associate Degree in Business Management.
In June of 2020, Jimmy retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber and began working for Boone Funeral Home later in September of 2020. He attends Northeast Texas Community College where he is studying Mortuary Science. He and his wife Glenda have two daughters, Keshona and Ty'Esha, and one granddaughter, Tarin. Jimmy enjoys fishing and golfing and is an officer of Antioch Baptist Church. Assisting others in possibly the lowest point of their lives is why he entered the Funeral Industry.
Sonya has been employed with Boone since 1999. She and her husband Dale managed Boone Florist until 2003, then she joined our staff as Office Manager. Sonya and Dale have two beautiful children Ashley and Brandon, and a grandson, Jaxon. They attend church at Haughton United Pentecostal Church in Haughton.
Bryan Dauphin joined the Boone staff in February of 2021 as a removal specialist. In August of that year, he moved into the role of Crematory Operator.
Bryan, a native of New Orleans, has lived in the Shreveport/Bossier area since 1992. He is a graduate of both Centenary College and Southern Methodist University. After more than twenty years in the pastoral ministry, Bryan changed gears and began teaching religious studies at a local community college.
Bryan and his wife Nancy have five grown children and eight grandchildren. In his spare time, Bryan enjoys cooking, painting, and gardening/yard work.
From Lafayette, Louisiana, Liv went to cosmetology school to study the beauty industry where she found her love for the art of mortuary cosmetics. Starting with Boone in November of 2023, she has decided to further pursue her career in the industry and will be starting her studies in mortuary science in the fall of 2024. She loves art, music, flowers, cajun cooking, science, traveling, reading, her partner Ashton, and fur babies Atlas and Fi.
Here to assist, Liv believes in treating all people with the care and equity they deserve, honoring their dignity as a human, and help families remember the life and memories they shared with their loved ones.
Chuck Hartman began his career at Boone Funeral Home in August 2016 in our pre-arrangement department. He brings to Boone Funeral Home his many talents and a strong desire to help families in whatever capacity he can.
Born in Michigan, he came to Louisiana with the United States Army, of which, he proudly served for 23 years. Serving Veterans and Veteran families are his primary focus. He believes in making sure that all Veterans and their families understand and receive the benefits they so justly deserve.
Chuck is married and has three children and seven grandchildren. After his retirement from the US Army, he obtained an Associates of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Management.
He believes that the families he has the honor of working with come first.
