H. N. (Herbert Norwood) Bradshaw, Chief Warrant Officer, United States Air Force (Retired), went peacefully to be with his Lord Jesus on April 11, 2013 at 93 years of age. He was born February 28, 1920 in Waldo, Arkansas. He served his country as a proud member of the U.S. Air Force for 23 years, beginning his service on horseback in the U.S. Cavalry in 1937. He served in both World War II and the Korean War, where he received special recognition for his work as a Food Service Officer. He also served as a Shreveport Auxiliary police officer for many years. Herbert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, as well as an avid hunter and sportsman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Lois Bradshaw, brothers Woodrow, James, and Bill Bradshaw, and sisters Hazel Cox and Irene Kitchens. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carrie Jane; son Martin Bradshaw and wife April, of Pilot Point, Texas; daughter Cheree Sotolongo and husband Hugo, of Frisco, Texas; son Brian Bradshaw and two grandsons, Colin and Ian Bradshaw, of Phoenix, Arizona; and sister Mary Lou Hubbard, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
The family wishes to express many thanks to the Progressive Care Center staff for their care over the last two years. And a very special thank you to Willis-Knighton Hospice, particularly Krystal, Stephanie, Curtis, Cynthia, Caressa, and Lucy, for their most appreciated special care and support through these last few weeks.
