Barbara Fay Mason

Barbara Mason was born May 14, 1944 in Louisville, KY to Bill and Kitty DuVall.  Sadly Barbara “Baba” passed away suddenly on August 28, 2018 with her family by her side. 

Barbara was raised in central Michigan and after completing college she began a career in social work.  After moving to Georgia in 1986 she met the love of her life, Billy Mason.  Four years later, Barbara and Billy married and started their happy life together.  Barbara did not have children of her own, but she loved and accepted his children as her own. 

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 24 years; daughter, Renee; son, Troy Mason; and nephew, Rob Smith.  Left to cherish many memories of her love and compassion are daughters, Tracey Philen and husband James, Tina Queen and fiancé Scottie Cantrell; sons, Jeffery Mason, Roy Mason and wife Estrella; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Sherry Smith; two nieces, Shelly and Lisa; and especially her granddaughter, Jami St. Clair and husband Branden.

 Barbara, Billy and grandson Clinton are together once more.

The family will receive guest between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home-Bossier City.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
