Marteal Elizabeth Anderson

Marteal Elizabeth Miller Anderson was born July 11, 1926 in Plain Dealing at the maternal grandparents, Maggie and Stroud Matlock.  Sadly she passed away at her home on May 29, 2018 with her daughter and granddaughter at her side. 

Funeral services for Marteal will be 12:00 PM, Friday, June 1, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home-Bossier City.  Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery.  Officiating will be Dr. Gary Johnson of Waller Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends between 5:00 PM-7:00 PM on, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home. 

Marteal and husband Milton Hugh Anderson enjoyed many years of marriage and had two children.  Sadly he passed away August 4, 2005 on their 60th Wedding Anniversary.  At the age of 80, she married Wiley Murphy who died February 15, 2013.

Preceding Marteal in death are parents; John Dowd and Maggie Matlock Miller; brother, James Lester Miller and wife Betty; and brother-in-law Hilton Clarkston.

She is survived by daughter, Jane Elizabeth Feazel; son, Gary Hugh Anderson and wife Margo; six granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Clarkston and Nerae Haynes and husband Titus; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. 

During Marteal’s 91 years she touched many lives.  She loved deeply and will be missed greatly.
