Florence Harris

Funeral services for Florence M. Harris will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 27, 2009 at Louisiana Funeral and Cremation Care, 3903 Meriwether Road, Shreveport. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Rocky Madison of Rose Park Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Louisiana Funeral and Cremation Care on Friday, April 24, 2009 between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 PM. Florence, 79, went to be with her Lord on April 21, 2009. During her life she was an artist that loved to paint. When she was not painting she did needlepoint and knitting. She was very talented but her biggest accomplishment was raising three children and taking care of the love of her life, Charles Harris, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harris, Sr. and daughter, Elizabeth Ann Kelley. She is survived by son, Charles Harris, Jr. and wife Linda; daughter, Margaret Magill and husband David; six grandchildren, Carrie Harris, Harmonie, Travis, and Thomas Kelley, David Magill, II and Shannon Bealle; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jerry Young and Mary Alexander; and brother, Leland Adams. Florence blessed many people during her life and she will be greatly missed.
