Dorothy Ann Schufft

Dorothy Ann Schufft, daughter of Clara and Edgar Schmoldt, was born July 1, 1930, in Elgin, Illinois. Dorothy formerly of Lebanon Missouri passed away on Sunday March 8 2020 at the Carpenter House in Shreveport Louisiana.

On August 9, 1950, Dorothy was united in marriage with the love of her life, Ralph Schufft. Prior to his death in 2017 they had celebrated 67 years of marriage. After her husband died, she moved to Bossier City Louisiana to be near her son, Roy and his family. She was a resident of the Oaks of Louisiana where she resided for the past 7 months.

Survivors include her two children, Roy Schufft and his wife Kathy of Benton Louisiana, and Donald Schufft and his wife Maureen of Kirkland Arizona; three grandsons, Denny Schufft (Lauren), Brandon Schufft (Deanne), and Daniel Schufft (Duane); and five great- grandchildren, Tyler, Kade, Kaden, Garrett, and Quinn Schufft.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ralph Schufft, and a great- grandson, Kolbe Schufft

Dorothy’s wishes were to be cremated with no memorial service. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days, especially the nurses at Hospice. For those who have known Dorothy she will be remembered as a unique special person.
