Versie Burnes

Shreveport-Funeral services for Mrs. Versie L. Burnes will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 2pm at Bethel Assembly of God in Shreveport with Rev. Mike Whatley and Rev. Dewayne Stott officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 12:00pm until time of the service. Burial will be Thursday, February 3, 2005 at 1:00pm at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Odessa, TX. Mrs. Burnes was born in Cravens, LA on February 12, 1918 to the late Henderson and Nettie Isabelle James Calhoun. She passed from this life on January 28, 2005 in Shreveport. Mrs. Burnes is survived by her brothers, James W. Calhoun of Shreveport, Jesse Calhoun of Ceres, CA; sisters, Patsy Ratcliff and Dorothy Bruce of Texarkana, AR; numerous nieces and nephews.
