Shreveport, LA - Peggy Lynn Faircloth, "Miss Peggy", went to be with her Lord, and loved ones on September 8, 2012, after a lengthy illness. Peggy was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Adams of Minden, LA and was married to Gary R. Faircloth, formerly of Minden. She was a 1967 graduate of Minden High School where she excelled as a Captain of the Louisianes and both competitive and synchronized swimming. She was also an All District Choir member and served on the Student Council. Mrs. Faircloth attended Louisiana Tech and graduated from North Texas State University with a degree in Graphic Design. She also did graduate work in Clinical Counseling at Southern Arkansas University. Peggy worked as an advertising executive in the Dallas area for several years before moving back to Minden to serve as a Ministry Assistant at First Baptist Church. ?Miss Peggy? had a bright smile and caring personality and was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. A caring wife, mother, and grandmother, Peggy?s life work was ?creating memories.? She is survived by Mr. and Mrs. Russell Adams; husband, Gary; three sons, Wes McKinney of Shreveport, Lee McKinney and wife Tori of Minden and Jason Faircloth and wife Jessica of Norman, OK. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, Dylan, Peyton, Cody, Cassidy, and Jackson McKinney. ?Grammy? made everything fine! Peggy is proceeded in death by mother Mary Louise Adams, grandparents Leon and Myrtle Adkins and Russell and Opal Fay Adams. A memorial service will be held for Peggy at 10:00 AM, September 12, 2012 in the Chapel of the First Baptist Church of Minden. Reverend Bill Ichter and Reverend Bill Crider will officiate. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Goodwill Industries, a charity close to Peggy?s heart.
