Catherine Ross Liberto

Catherine Ross Liberto, age 92 of Shreveport, LA passed away peacefully surrounded by her 3 loving daughters on September 6, 2018.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 10th at St. Pius X Catholic Church beginning at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass Service at 11:00 am.

Catherine was born in Shreveport, LA to Emile & Louise Ross on September 23, 1925.  She was a graduate of Fairpark High School.  She was an LPN and worked alongside her husband as owners of multiple grocery stores, Italian Villa Restaurant, and L& R Meat Market. She was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and later at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles J. Liberto, brother Paul Ross, son-in-law Larry Vickers, and great grand-daughter Jovie Brazzel.

Catherine is survived by daughters Sandra Vickers of Bossier City, Patricia McManemin (Travis) of Lake Charles, and Charlene McGowan (Mike) of Belcher, 7 grandchildren and spouses and 15 great grandchildren. 

Catherine loved her family, friends and loved our Lord. She will always be remembered as a remarkable cook, sharing her food with family and friends. 

She will be remembered and cherished by her family as a woman of great strength.  Her values of love, unselfishness, kindness, and strong character have touched many during her life.
