David Allen Haughee

Mr. Haughee was born in Ft. Wayne, IN, on June 21, 1933, and died on July 3, 2014. He had resided in Bossier City since 1972. Mr. Haughee graduated from Richmond Academy in Augusta, GA, and attended Georgia Military College in Milledgeville. A veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, he was awarded seven air medals for combat-related missions and two commendation medals. Mr. Haughee was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Allene Boykin Haughee; his parents, Max and Grace Haughee; his sister, Shirley Folden and husband James; and his son Michael Grant Haughee. He is survived by his two daughters, Dr. Sharon Williams of Cairo, Egypt, and Suzanne McGraw of Texarkana, TX ; one son, David Allen Haughee, Jr. of Leslie, AR; and five grandchildren, Matthew and Aaron Haughee, Rose of Sharon and Maya Williams, and Olivia McGraw. Mr. Haughee will be interred at Bay Pines National Cemetery in Bay Pines, FL. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Salvation Army or the Shreveport-Bossier Mission.
