Lena Maxine Wittenburg

Lena Maxine Wittenburg, 91, Shreveport, LA; passed peacefully on Monday October 9, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Max, youngest of 11 children, was born to Samuel and Willieada Justice in Farwell, TX. Predeceased by her husband of 63 years, G.D. Wittenburg, Max was a loving mother of 3, grandmother of 3, great grandmother of 2. After Max retired from AT&T with 29 years of service, she and G.D. traveled and were proud, active members of NARFE. An avid seamstress, Max loved sharing a cup of coffee and a laugh with friends and family. Visitation will be Saturday, October 14, 10:30-11:30 am at Boone Funeral Home, 3903 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport. Private gravesite service. The family wishes to thank the caregivers of Garden Park Nursing Center. Memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of choice in lieu of flowers.
