Friday, September 26th 2014, Bobby R. Chamberlain, affectionately known as "BRC" was gloriously and eternally healed in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Bobby was born November 21, 1937 in Jennings, Louisiana to the proud parents, the late Rev. F. C. and Sylvia Chamberlain. He was the baby brother to F. C. Chamberlain, Jr. and the older brother to his baby sister, Meredith Chamberlain King.
In 1944, Bobby's eye and heart was captured by the beautiful love of his life, Brenda Faye Conville. This love story continued and Bobby and Brenda were united in marriage on April 16, 1960. They made their, home in Hodge, LA. Bobby and Brenda became the proud parents of two beautiful daughters. Karen Denise and Terri Lynn.
In 1965, this beautiful family packed all of their belongings and moved to Bossier City, La. with a dream of establishing a nursery and landscaping business. So with a dream in their hearts and all the money in their pockets, Chamberlain's Nursery and Landscaping opened their doors to the local community of Bossier City. To this day, you can drive streets of Bossier, Shreveport and countless locations throughout the Ark-La-Tex and see the beauty that has been established by Chamberlain's Nursery that dates from the present, back to time they opened their doors 49 years ago.
Bobby was a great churchman. He was faithful to the Lord, the church and his pastor. He took great joy in generously contributing to the building programs of several churches. Bobby was an active member of Central Assembly of God in Haughton where he was greatly loved by the congregation.
Bobby served the LA District of the Assemblies of God as Men's Ministry Director where he was responsible for men's retreats and "Light for the Lost," an outreach ministry that raised monies to provide Christian literature to missionaries around the world. No doubt, tens of thousands of lives have been eternally changed because of the compassionate heart of Bobby Chamberlain. Bobby, better known as "Uncle Bobby", also served in the Assemblies of God Youth Camp program for numerous years.
