Gaye Lynn Gordon (1946 – 2018)

Gaye Lynn Gordon was born July 16, 1946 in Longview, TX and passed away from this earthly life Sunday, March 11, 2018 at home with her family by her side after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was made whole and restored by her savior, Jesus Christ. Gaye was born the first of three children of the late Arlen Leonard Davis and the late Patricia Redding Davis. She was married to Richard Tommy Gordon, Sr. for 49 years and had three sons. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from University of Texas at Tyler and worked as a registered nurse for 14 years. Gaye was a faithful Christian woman and a member of Grace Tabernacle in Bossier City, LA. She was also a member of Disabled Veterans of America. She was always known to be happy and full of life. She loved to talk with and help other people. She often selflessly donated her time visiting the poor, sick, and prisoners. Gaye enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, and playing the piano. She was greatly loved and adored by her family, friends, and colleagues.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard Tommy Gordon, Sr.; son, Richard Tommy Gordon, Jr. and his wife Reba; son Michael Wayne Gordon, son, Paul Otis Gordon; grandchildren, Colby, Kayla, Crystal, Robert, Cristine and Cris; great grandchildren, Elizabeth , Justine, Grace, Lauren, James, Trey, Tyler, Logan, Kayleah, Joey, Angel and Faith; brother, Gary Davis; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews who adored her. Waiting for her in heaven are her parents, Arlen and Patricia Davis and her brother, Tommy Davis.

A memorial service will be conducted by Brother Victor Carson on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Grace Tabernacle, 1943 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, LA 71111.
