Bernetta M. Brown departed this life on 21 August 2012 following a sudden illness. Bernetta will be remembered as a kind and loving friend, sister, mother and grandmother, in addition to being one of the craftiest domino players in this part of the world. She was a woman who drowned many a cricket, caught innumerable fish and was known to those who frequented the Cross Lake pier as the Catfish Lady. Bernetta was a lifetime member of the Baptist Tabernacle, in Sibley, LA. She loved ice cream and she loved her Lord, her family and her husband, Edward Lawson Brown, to whom she was married for fifty-two years before his death in 2011. Remembering Bernetta and celebrating her life are her daughters, Pamela Corbell, Doris (Danny) Hodges and Cathy (Billy) Fields. Wayne (Juanita) Brown and Johnny Brown, sons; and her sister, Verna Stinson. Bernetta leaves to mourn her passing, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and church members. Bernetta?s family invites you to join them at a Memorial gathering at 1 p.m. Friday 24 August 2012 at Boone Funeral Home Chapel in Bossier City. Pastor Jimmy West will preside.
