Benton, LA- A Mass of Christian Burial for Carol W. Glasgow, age 52 will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 3800 Viking Dr. Bossier City, LA. Celebrating the Mass will be Father Pike Thomas and Father Robert Glasgow. Interment will follow at Rose Neath Cemetery. A Vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, August 11, 2008 at Boone Funeral Home, with visitation following until 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Glasgow went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 7, 2008. She was born July 27, 1956 in Lake Charles, LA. While growing up in Lake Charles, she was an active member in Sunday school and MYF at First Methodist Church. She was happiest when helping others and volunteered at Barbe High School and Shriner's Burn Hospital on Galveston Island. She graduated with a B.S. in Nursing from Northwestern State University-College of Nursing in Shreveport, LA and a B.S. in Sociology from Northwestern State University, in Natchitoches LA. She was an active member of Phi Mu Sorority while a student. Gardening was her favorite hobby, and she participated in events of the local daylily society. Mrs. Glasgow was a RN at Willis Knighton. But most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, and friend. Mrs. Glasgow was preceded in death by her father, Robert Joseph Williams. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Richard Glasgow; two sons, Ryan Glasgow and Jonathan Glasgow; her mother, Neoma Jean Williams; sister, Leslie McDowell and husband Peter, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, St. Jude's Catholic Church, the local Humane Society, or the charity of the donor's choice.
