Charles L. Campbell, age 100, was born in Mansville, Pennsylvania in 1921. Sadly passed away on December 24, 2021.
Charles joined the Air Force in 1942 and served in WWII, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Conflict. While serving in the South Pacific in WWII, he flew 61 combat bombing missions in B-24 and B-17 Bombers. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and a number of other medals and citations.
After retiring from the Air Force, he went into the used car business and specialized in antique and classic vehicles. He became a Notary Public and an armature magician. He entertained many families and children with magic shows in the Shreveport/Bossier area.
He is survived by nieces Bonnie Mumma and Dolores Day, both of Pennsylvania.
Charles will be buried in the Eschol Cemetery in Pennsylvania.
