Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Dickey

Elizabeth Ann Dickey was born on January 30, 1953 and went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 12, 2021. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents James Wheeler Dickey and Geneva Dickey; four brothers, James Dalton, Lee, Jimmy, and Timothy Dickey; two sisters, Lizzie Morris and Lucille Dickey. She is survived by her three daughters Sonja M. Pace and husband Joe, Tara D. Willis and husband Willie, Johnnette R. Addison and husband Chad; honorary daughters, Angel Willis, Tasha Hall and husband Dirk; fifteen grandchildren, Raymond, Tabatha, Justin, Heather, Noelle, Austin, Shianne, Mitchell, Cody, Alaynna, Christian, Grayson, Chase, Hunter and Coby; eleven great-grandchildren, Aksel, Cameron, Tyler, Kalia, Oakleigh, Eliajah, Brayden, Kaison, Jace, Kenzie, and Lian; her friend for life, Butch Willis; four brothers, Albert, David, Will, and Bruce Dickey; six sisters, Virginia Jenkins, Arlene Wiley, Francis Hunt, Mary Patton, Ruth Cox, and Catherine Dickey; numerous nieces and nephews that loved her; and coworkers/friends that loved her dearly. Mama loved her girls and grands. She like to cook, crochet, read books, play on her tablet and gripe. Several people have commented that she was the gumbo queen. We loved her tomato gravy and homemade biscuits, tater salad, and beef tips with gravy, to name a few things. One of our favorite things to do when we were all together was play board games. Occasionally, she had to show the grands that she could still do cartwheels (and mess her hip up) among other things. She tried teaching us girls how to crocket, but I think all any of us can make is a chain. Mama was loved by many and will be missed greatly. She is no longer in pain. I know she will watch over us from Heaven and forever be in our hearts.
