Phillip Gregory Arundel entered this world as a perpetual dreamer and thinker on July 10, 1960. He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and settled in Shreveport, Louisiana near his family - "close but not too close" as he would have said in his signature humorous snark. Phillip worked for the Caddo Correctional Center in Shreveport, where he thoroughly enjoyed his work and his co-workers. He was in the process of renovating his dream home in historic Highland. It was the charm of this diversified and historic neighborhood that appealed to him for home, just as the charm of diversified people appealed to him in life. His heart's content came sitting on his porch watching the world. He had a natural green thumb, which was not hereditary, but was much appreciated by his family.
Phillip left this world on September 11, 2016 a beloved man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Clayton Arundel. He is survived by his mother, Aldona Arundel of Haughton, LA; his sister, Adrienne Remedies, wife of Chris Remedies of Benton, LA; brother, Kevin Arundel of Benton, LA; brother, Scot Arundel of Bossier City, LA; and many other loved ones left to cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held at Boone Funeral Home, 2156 Airline Drive, Bossier City, on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 10am-12pm with services following at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Habitat for Humanity - http://www.nwlahabitat.org.
