Shreveport, LA- Funeral services will be held for Frankie Mangum, age 54, at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Howard Hall of the Shreveport Baptist Temple where Mr. Mangum was a member. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Thomas-Wren Cemetery in Martin, LA. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Mangum entered into rest at his residence Monday, August 13, 2007 after a brief illness. He was a Master Plumber and owner/operator of Mangum Plumbing for the past 15 years. He loved his work. Frankie also enjoyed camping, canoeing, and working in his yard. But most of all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be missed by all whom knew him.
Mr. Mangum was preceded in death by his parents; Ethel and Gipson Mangum Sr., and five brothers; Don, Bill, John, Aubrey and David Mangum. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Theresa Mangum, one son; Michael Mangum, one daughter; Abbie Bradford, four grandchildren; Kimberlee and Emily Goff and Morgan and Jordan Bradford, and two sisters; Charlotte Graham and husband Lee, and Voncille Wiersema and husband Larry.Serving, as pallbearers will be Stan Hughes, Donnie Boyett, Ricky Boyett, Shelby Loe, Dustin Boyett and John Brownfield.
