Michael E. Ducote

A memorial service celebrating the life of Michael Eugene Ducote, 26, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 18, 2018,  at Life Church, 2222 Meriweather Road. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Cavalier. Visitation with the family will be 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Michael was born September 17, 1991 in Shreveport, LA. His life was taken for reasons we struggle to understand and are unable to find peace with. To know Michael was to love him. He was adventurous, fun-loving, liked to laugh and was blessed with a smile that would win your heart. His nature was to help and give in any form he could. Without even knowing it, Michael has seen many friends through life struggles simply by talking with them.

His parents; Richard Ducote & Janice DeSoto-Ducote preceded him in death. His memory will forever be cherished by his loving sister, Alisha Allison, and her husband, Brad; brother, Richard Ducote, and his wife, Crystal; his devoted aunt and “second Mom”, Brenda Nielsen, and her husband, Rick; nieces, Preslee, Cambria, Kaylee and Britney; nephews, Tanner and Joe; numerous cousins and countless friends that adored him. Michael’s absence leaves a void in the lives of his family and friends that is irreplaceable.

With his death, so is the hope that he can change his tomorrow to overcome his yesterday.
