Wilbur Dean

Funeral services for Wilbur E. Dean will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, October 19, 2009 at Louisiana Funeral and Cremation Care in Shreveport. Interment will follow in Rose Neath Cemetery in Bossier City. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Prucey with Elm Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Monday starting at 12:00 noon to till service time at Louisiana Funeral and Cremation Care. Wilbur was a proud husband and father that devoted his life to providing a better life for his family. Most of his working life was spent as a driver for Red Ball Motor Freight and being a member of the Teamsters Union. He lived a simple life but when time permitted loved to hunt, talk to people and make new friends. His friends always referred to him as the Candy Man. Wilbur was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Dean and son, Jerry Lynn Dean. Left to cherish memories are sons, Dennis Dean and wife Cathy, Mike Dean; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other family members. The family would like to express their appreciation to Jordan?s Crossing Hospice for their great care over the last few years.
