Bethanee "Beth" Owen passed away October 29, 2007, in Bossier City. She was born on January 16, 1988, in Shreveport. Beth graduated from Southwood High School in 2006. She had been stationed in Ft. Jackson, SC, until earlier this year when she moved back home.
Beth was a member of the ROTC during her four years in high school, joining the U.S. Army during her junior and senior year. She will be remembered for her bubbly personality who loved planning pranks on others. Beth enjoyed lots of different music, especially listening to her Dad's band, but mostly singing songs with her dad from his generation, word for word. She laughed a lot, danced, rode 4-wheelers, and loved to dress her dog up, Maxie, just for the fun of it.
Her grandmother, Helen Pond Owen, preceded her in death. Surviving her is her Dad and Mom David and Cheryl Owen; sister Leigh Huff; brother Christopher Leon; grandparents: Jerry Owen, Gene and Joyce Clark; aunts and uncles: Mike and Sue Owen, Brenda and James McDaniel, Mark and Aimee Owen, Ronnie and Nancy Clark, Tommy Clark, and Larry and Ann Clark; special pets Mollie, Maxie and Boudreaux and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Anderson, Jerry "Ninja" Porterfield, Jimmy Mills, Corbett Gill, Wade Martin and Charlie Brewton. Honorary pallbearers will be Dep. Kenny Hester, Joe Johnson, and Mel Cox.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home, Shreveport Chapel, Saturday, November 3, 2007, at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Brother Ted Hardin of Oakcrest Christian Church. Graveside services will follow at Forest Park West. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday from 6-9 PM.
