A Celebration of Life will be held for Jim M. Taylor on Saturday, April 28 at 2:00 pm at Boone Funeral Home, 2156 Airline Drive in Bossier City, LA. He passed away on April 23 after a brief illness. Burial will be private.
Jim was born in Marfa, Texas on September 14, 1946. He earned a B.S. from Sul Ross State University and a Masters degree from TCU. He served for 22 years in the U.S. Air Force as a B-52 Radar Navigator and Instructor, with the Air Force Inspector General, and in the TR-1(U2). After his retirement in 1992, he taught History in the Caddo Pubic Schools until 2008. He and his wife, Shelly were married for forty-six years. Theirs was a love, friendship, and partnership that grew stronger each day. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and just piddling. His greatest legacy was his sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, their daughter Heather Watkins, her husband Jeff; son Wes, his wife Annette, and five grand-daughters. He is also survived by nephews Nathan and Charlie Taylor.
