Mary Barr

Shreveport, LA-Mary Ann Barr departed this earth September 24, 2005 following a lengthy illness. She was born to Lovie and Joseph Wade Barn on October 4, 1921. She attended public school at Negreet, LA and went on to graduate from Louisiana Normal (NSU) in Natchitoches. She served her country in WWII in the Women's Marine Corps and worked for 20 years for the State of Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Marguerite Miller, and husband J.H. Anthony. She is survived by her loving sons, Jimmy Anthony of Shreveport, Chris Anthony of Baton Rouge, and Tommy Anthony of Fort Worth; 5 grandchildren, Erin, Kenneth, Angela, Hannah, and Sarah; 2 great-grandchildren Josef and Kairi. Remembering her are many nieces, many nephews, many cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held on September 28, 2005 at 1:00pm at Broadmoor Baptist Church in the Memorial Chapel.
