William Deloss "Buddy" Kimble, Jr., 82, of Bossier City, LA passed away 07/02/2015. Buddy was born December 7, 1932 in Lincoln County, MS as the eldest son of W.D. Kimble and Nellie May Ratcliff. A Bossier City , LA resident and Cypress Baptist Church member, Buddy retired from Halliburton Energy Services in 1991 following 37 years of dedicated service. Following employment early in his life at Bowling Motors in Brookhaven, MS, Buddy hired on with Halliburton as a bulk truck driver eventually ending his working career as the Shreveport Division Tools Superintendent. Monday morning coffee with retirees and annual employee reunions in Laurel, MS were times of great enjoyment until his death. Many lifelong relationships and fond memories were developed during his oilfield career. Waterskiing and woodworking were replaced with spending time with his grandchildren (Brandon Kimble and wife Katria, Emily Kimble, Jordan, Anna Katheryn, and Lauren Alford) as the only hobbies Buddy ever knew. Preceded in death by his parents and Dorothy Jean Berry, his beloved spouse of 54 years, Buddy leaves behind a loving family that includes his children Richard Kevin Kimble and wife Dorothy; daughter Lori Kimble Alford and husband Tim; siblings, Bennie Kimble with spouse Jo & family, Patsy Rushing with spouse Donald & family, Paul Donald Kimble with spouse Clara & family, Dale Kimble with spouse Ramonia & family; along with extended family and friends. Visitation for Bossier City area friends will be held between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 6th with a memorial service following at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier. Visitation for Mississippi area friends and extended family will be held between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 7th at Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven, MS. Graveside service will follow immediately at New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery, Loyd Star, MS. In Lieu of flowers the Kimble Family suggests offerings to the following: Cypress Baptist Church, New Hope Methodist Church or The American Cancer Society.
