Shreveport- Funeral services for Mrs. Bette Ann Moore Moseley, who passed away Wednesday at her home in Shreveport with her family at her side, will be held Saturday, April 5, 2007 at 2:00pm at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church in Shreveport with Rev. Fr. Brendan Pelphrey officiating. A private family committal service will follow at Slaughter Cemetery in Rodessa, LA.
Mrs. Moseley, Office manager of Norton and Associates, was well involved most of her life with Boy and Girl Scouts, having been the first woman to serve on the NORWELLA Council of the Boy Scouts of America. She was an instructor of rifle, pistol, and shotgun sports for the NRA as well as a Hunter Safety Instructor. She was a former member of the board of the Caddo Rifle and Pistol Club and former Secretary of Safari Club International. She was a member of Saint George Greek Orthodox Church. Even with her hectic schedule, she always had time to participate in each of her grandchildren's activities.
Mrs. Moseley, granddaughter of the late Sheriff, Tom R. Hughes is preceded in death by her son, Curtis A. Moseley and parents, Andy and Isabelle Moore. She is survived by her husband, Curtis C. Moseley; son, W.T. "Bill" Moseley; daughter, Ruth Norton and husband Lewis; grandchildren, Will and Matt Moseley, Samuel and Sally Norton, and Nicole and Rachael Moseley; and brothers, Bill Moore and Jack Moore.
Casketbearers will be Samuel Norton, Lewis Norton, Will Moseley, Matthew Moseley, Marion E. "Sonny" Milstead, and Thomas Lee Moseley.
