Rev. George Gerald Aultman, peacefully passed away, Saturday, October 3, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House in Shreveport, Louisiana. Gerald was born on a farm in Sumrall, Mississippi on January 17, 1929 to Ida May Clinton Aultman and James Herbert Aultman. 

He pastored churches in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Washington State. He first preached the word of God at the age of 18 on April 17, 1948.  He served 62 years as pastor, preaching revivals in over 100 churches, before moving to Bossier City to be near their daughter, Judy Rambin.  George graduated from Clark College, University of Southern Mississippi, The New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he obtained his Masters Degree in Theology.  He is currently a member of Airline Baptist Church, where he is a member of the Arno Easterly Mens Sunday School class and a member of the ABC Iron Men.

Bro. Aultman is preceded in death by parents, Ida Mae Clinton Aultman and Herbert Aultman, his first wife Lillian, three brothers, James, Wayne, and Harold Aultman and recently the love of his life and wife for almost 50 years, Nellie Crow Aultman.

Bro. Aultman is survived by sons, Patrick Green and wife Joy of Dublin, Georgia, Randy Aultman and wife Peggy of Covington, Louisiana; daughters, Judy Rambin of Bossier City, Louisiana and Candi Aultman of Jackson, Mississippi.  He is also survived by grandchildren, Kerri Coleman, Kristi Brewster, Kelli Hull and husband Dwayne, Brian Green and wife Nohemi, Jonathan Green, Jennifer Rider and husband Jeremy, Charlotte Kelly and husband Jon Ford, Rob Houston, Maggie Aultman, and Lauren Depriest. He was Pappaw to his great-grandchildren, Justin and wife Ashley, Presli, Grasyn, Kylee, Rylee, Jackson G., Bryan, Alex, Naomi, Alayna, Logan, Jackson B., Lilly Mae,  Carter, and Hudson;  siblings, Edd Aultman and wife Frankie, Wade Aultman and wife Sandra, Betty Sullivan and husband H.C.; and many other family members and friends survive Gerald, and he loved each and every one of them!  Family was very important to Pappaw, whether it be his family, his church family or anyone in need.  His passion was church ministry where he blessed so many lives.    

Gerald had been lovingly cared for by the wonderful staff at Pilgrim Manor Senior Care in Bossier City, Louisiana for a year.  The staff knew him well from his daily visits to Ms. Nellie, during her four year stay.   

Visition will be Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Airline Baptist Church between 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM.  A brief service will follow the visitation.  A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Brookhaven, Mississippi. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on Thursday.

Brother Aultman will be best remembered for the stories he told and the example he lived.  Gerald's legacy of love and compassion will continue on for many years through his ministry, his family and others who had the honor of knowing him.
