Milton Smith

A memorial service celebrating the life of Milton Ingram Smith will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 11:00 in the morning at Asbury United Methodist Church, Bossier City, LA. Mr. Smith passed away on May 4, 2013 following a lengthy illness. Officiating the service will be Reverend Jerry Hilbun and Reverend Ken Norton with a special message from Reverend Dr. Barry Hughes. Milton was born on April 12, 1933 in Hosston, LA to the late Mallie Ingram and Milton Hines Smith. He is also predeceased by his brother, Curlalion Smith and sisters, Marine Metesh, Lois McAllister, Ruth Heron, and Clara Lee. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Scott Smith; daughters Deborah Salvail, Diane Salvail, and Peggy Hamiter; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Gerry San Pedro, Dr. Charles Powers, Katie Hire, N.P., and the staff of St. Joseph's Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Asbury United Methodist Church Building Fund.
