Stonewall, LA ? Funeral services for John P. Nelson will be 1:00, Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Boone Funeral Home-Shreveport Chapel, 3903 Meriwether Road, Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow in Stonewall Cemetery in Stonewall. Officiating will be Rev. Jarrell Morgan. The family will receive friends at Boone Funeral Home-Shreveport Chapel between 5:00 and 7:00 PM, Friday, January 28, 2011. John enjoyed life and loved horses, his grandchildren and family. He always had time to take the grandchildren to a rodeo. John went to be with his Lord on January 26, 2011. He leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Patricia Nelson; children, Annette Nelson and fiancé Ralph Wren, Kim Williamson and husband Lee; grandchildren, John Pridgen and wife Lezley, Chase Allen and wife Jordana, P.J. Standridge and husband Raymond, Colton Williamson and Jessie Williamson; great-grandchildren, Presley, Brooklyn, Peyton and Gentry.
