Bossier City - Ed, 85, was born July 24, 1928 in Utica, NY and passed away July 5, 2014 in Bossier City.
Following high school he proudly served in the Navy. Following the Navy he was a patrolman for 26 years with the New Orleans Police Department. During his 26 years with the NO Police Department he became the first K-9 Operator, working with his dog Duke, and was selected to attend FBI Academy at Quantico, VA. After serving the city of New Orleans, he was named as Superintendent, of the Harbor Police, of which he remained until retirement. Several years after retirement, Ed moved to Bossier City where he retired from the Bossier Parish School Board.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 25 years, Mary Joe Pritchard; children, Randy Jarrell and wife Robin, Tammy Stanfill and husband Lance, Monique Thomas, husband Bryan, Robert Lewis ; grandchildren, Dustin and Derek Jarrell, Lauren and Erin Stanfill, Lindsey Bond , Cody Bond and girlfriend Kayleigh Pellegrini, Brandon, Shyann, and Logan Lewis; great-grandchildren, Sessilee, Tanner, and Caiden; brother-in-law, Kenneth Weaver; special niece, Shannon Micciantuono and her family; close friend, Albert Neely; and his four legged friend, York.
The family has chosen cremation.
