Dot Brown

Haughton-Funeral services for Mrs. Doris E. "Dot" Brown will be held Friday, January 21, 2005 at 2pm at Boone Funeral Home with Chaplain Dana Casey officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery in Fairview Alpha, LA. Mrs. Brown passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at her home. She will be missed by all who knew her. Preceding Dot in death were her parents, Robert W. and Lillie M. Brock; sister, Jo Ann Martin; and brother, Robert E. Brock. She is survived by her son, Robert W. Spann of Oil City; sisters, Barbara J. Thompson of Haughton and Gladys M. Leriche of Bossier City; grandson, Jason Humphrey and wife Mary; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her heart belonged to Tabatha Martin, her great-niece. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Willis-Knighton Hospice. Willis-Knighton Hospice has provided wonderful love and care during these past weeks. Nurse Sherry Hinkle and Chaplain Dana Casey deserve our gratitude for their service to our family.
