Thomas H. Vincent

Thomas Harold Vincent, 96, went to his heavenly home on December 23, 2015. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 29 at Boone Funeral Home in Shreveport. Interment will follow in Forest Park West. Officiating will be Bro. Harry Forrester. Visitation will be at Boone Funeral Home on Monday, December 28 at 5:00-8:00 PM. Tom was born August 15, 1919 to Merchie and Eula Vincent in rural Kentucky. He graduated in 1938 from Pilot Oak High School in Water Valley, Kentucky. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a retired carpenter. Tom faithfully attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. Tom enjoyed working in his garden. He got great pleasure giving the fruits of his labor to friends and neighbors. Even in his later years he could be found tilling his garden…he just couldn't give it up. Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Marie Vincent and his great grandson, Trenton L'Huillier. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Ronnie Vincent, Donald Vincent (Vineta), and Darlene Thomas (Bill), all of Shreveport and his brother, Roy Vincent. Six grandchildren, Gina L'Huillier (Tyler), Danny Vincent (Wendy), Keri Vincent, Kristi Davis (Tim), Heather Beczo (Tibor), and Erin Stiles (Jared). Thirteen great grandchildren, Chris Vincent, Dylan Garsee, Halie and Rachel Stevenson, Carly and James L'Huillier, Grant, Savannah and Mason Stiles, Jabin and Anika Beczo, Lyla and Luke Vincent. Honoring Tom as pallbearers are Chris Vincent, Dylan Garsee, Danny Vincent, Vernon Williams, Lane Hunicutt, and John Roberts. The family suggests donations be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
