Sheilda Kaye Hinton

Mrs. Sheilda Kaye Hinton, known to her 7 grandchildren as “Mimi”, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at the age of 68.

A native of Natchitoches, Louisiana, Sheilda retired as a social worker from the Courtyard of Natchitoches Nursing Home at the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center after 20 years.  She adored the residents of the Courtyard of Natchitoches. Being of service to the elderly was such a joy to her.

She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Hortense Hinton.  

She is survived by her daughters, Brandi K. Reeves of Shreveport, Louisiana and Jaime L. Hailey of Alexandria, Louisiana; son, Matthew G. Hailey of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; grandchildren, Kyle, Kelsey, Hannah, Terra, Reagan, Joselyn and Liam; and, brother, Gene Hinton of Shreveport, Louisiana.  Sheilda will be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

 To honor her wishes, a private Celebration of Life memorial will be held for family at a later date.
