William Glen Nader ("Bill") was born in Austin, Texas, on Sept. 18, 1952, and passed away in Shreveport on Ocotber 4, 2014. Bill grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, surrounded by a large and loving family. Following graduation from Captain Shreve High School, Bill attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. While at LSU, Bill had numerous honors including serving as president of his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and head cheerleader. During his tenure at LSU, he was inducted as a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Who's Who Among Students in American Universities, and he served as a page in the Louisiana State Senate for Sen. Don Williamson. Following college, he attended LSU Law School where he obtained his juris doctorate. He served his clients for more than 30 years in a profession he truly had a passion for.
Bill was an avid reader and loved telling stories of his LSU days. Most importantly, he was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all he encountered. Family meant everything to Bill, and he loved spoiling his children and grandchildren. He was kind, loving and absolutely hilarious.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his adoring siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends, whom he loved dearly.
Bill was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Cathedral, where he served as a lay minister. A visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9 until 10:15 a.m. in the parlor of St. Mark's Cathedral. Following visitation, a memorial service will be held in the Sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mark's Cathedral in Shreveport
