Michael Renee Pelt

Services to honor the life of Michael “Mike” Renee Pelt of Haughton, Louisiana, will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA. Brother Roger Baker of The Well of Living Water Church in West Monroe will officiate.

Mike was born on February 15, 1964 in Vidor, Texas to Robert Pelt and Lucille Leonard. He passed away on November 6, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer. After graduating from Haughton High school, he began his career in construction and was a Superintendent for Hand Construction in Shreveport, LA. 

Mike was an amazing husband, father, papaw, uncle and friend. He was a selfless, giving man who impacted the lives of many. In his free time, Mike enjoyed fishing, gardening, cook outs and anything else that involved him being outdoors, but mostly he loved spending time with his family. His entire world revolved around his grandchildren; as well as, his nieces and nephews who adored their “Uncle Mikey”.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Penny Pelt of Haughton; one sister, Brenda Twitty of Haughton; two brothers, Buster Pelt with wife, Terri of Haughton, and Hunter Pelt of Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Ammber Adams with husband, Sean of Haughton; two stepsons, Justin Williams with wife, Rhonda, and Jared Williams with wife, Dusty, both of Haynesville; grandchildren, Brennon Adams, Gracelynn Adams, Kymber Williams, Bailey Williams, Charlotte Williams, and Matthew Williams. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in his honor be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or donor’s choice.
