She raised three strong willed sons and kept them in line when needed. After her sons moved out and started their families, she continued to be a large part of their lives. At Christmas time, she worked hard crocheting gifts for her love ones. She greatly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always making sure they a full supply of bubble gum. When she was not busy with "her boys" and their families, she spent time bowling, crocheting, canning and watching the Braves play baseball. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Carey; and parents, J.W. and Ida Mae Riley. Left to cherish all of their precious moments together are sons, James Anthony "Tony" Carey and wife Cathy, Charles Howard Carey, and David Ray Carey and wife Teresa; grandchildren, Tina, Barbara, Sharon, Jennifer, Lauren and Zachary; 15 great-grandchildren; and other numerous relatives. Polly gave her life to her family. She made sure her sons had what they needed most, her love.
