Carey Pearson

Shreveport, LA - Carey passed away peacefully, March 3, 2014. He was born February 5, 1936 in Sicily Island, LA to Abbott and Bertha Pearson. Carey graduated from Sicily Island High School in 1954, graduated from Northeast Louisiana University, and attended Mississippi School of Law. He worked in the Oil and Gas Industry for most of his life, owning drilling chemical businesses, and working as a mud engineer. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Barbara Jean Cater, and Dora Virginia Barron. Left to cherish his loving memories are his daughter, Paige Pearson Moore; son, Daniel Pearson and wife Leslie; grandsons, Logan and Gage; and granddaughter Alyssa. The family will receive friends on March 6, 2014 between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 PM at Boone Funeral Home-Bossier. Private interment will follow. Carey had a heart for helping children, therefore in lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to any local charity that is dedicated to helping children in his honor.
