William "Bill" Joseph Kratz September 14, 1944 in Norwalk, Ohio - August 23, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. Bill grew up n Madison, WI where he graduated from high school and attended the University of Wisconson. Bill played football for the Wisconsin Badgers and graduated with a Batchlor of Accounting Degree. Bill joined the U.S. Army, won the Green Beret and served with the U.S. Army Special Forces, where he did multiple tours of duty in Vietnam. After service in Vietnam he was an instructor at Fort Bragg. Upon his return to civilian life Bill served as the comptroller for several major businesses. After his retirement Bill continued to work, establishing his own accounting business from his home.
Bill is survived by his wife, Lynn Wheeler Kratz of Bossier City, LA; his son, Thomas Kratz (Tina), of Lake Charles, LA; his daughters, Yolanda Kratz and Deborah Kitchens-Darity, both of Bossier City, LA; step-sons; Dewayne Wheeler (Erika), of Arlington, TX and Randy Wheeler of Ogden, UT; his grandchildren; Shawn Kratz (Amanda), Elizabeth Fulwood-Smith (Tray), Taylor Darity, Thomas Kratz, Jr., Dustin Wheeler and Ashley Spivey; his great grandchildren; Natalie, JR, Kayleigh, Adelyn and Landon.
