Natchez, MS - Floria Leona Ray Johnson, 82, who passed at home with her loving family by her side, on, Sunday, February 8, 2015. Services will be Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating. Burial will follow at the Doyline Cemetery in Doyline, LA. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM till service time. Mrs. Johnson was born October 27, 1932 in Louisville, MS as the daughter of Melvin C. Ray and Bessie Frankline Ray. Mrs. Johnson married her beloved husband John V. Johnson on January 8, 1949. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends and crocheting for her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Victor Lee Johnson, and Johnnie Wayne Johnson, son-in-laws, Lynn Hinson and Paul Currier, granddaughter, Lorie Gibbons, her infant grandchildren, her parents, five brothers, and sister. Survivors include one son, Kimble Johnson of Natchez, MS, four daughters, Maxine Currier of Natchez, MS, Patricia Hill of Kingwood, TX, Brenda Gibbons and husband Randy of Eldgin, SC, Connie Howington and husband Charles of Natchez, MS, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary McKnight and husband Will of St. Francisville, LA and two special pets, Peanut and Sassy. Pallbearers will be Paul Currier, Craig Simmons, Randy Simmons, Gary Gray, Steve Robertosn, Eric Wilshusen. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Palma, and the Color Guard of the VFW Post #5951.
