Anna was born June 26, 1941 in Monette, AR and sadly passed away on January 23, 2019 surrounded by family.
Preceding Anna in death were her parents, Pete and Edith Rush of St. Joseph, LA. She is survived by her daughters: Toni Fife Cascio of Bossier City, LA and Edie Couey of Haughton, LA; three grandchildren: Michael Allen Couey, Anna Kate Cascio, and Cole Couey; one great-grandchild: Noah Logan Couey; siblings: Buck Rush and wife Debbie of Converse, LA, Windella Lane and husband Preston of Keatchie, LA, Markita Swint and husband Gary of Parker’s Chapel, AR, Ricky Rush and wife Suzie of St. Joseph, LA, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Anna led a very active life style. She was free spirited and enjoyed life to the fullest. Anna grew up in northeast Arkansas on a cotton farm, where she was the oldest of five siblings. She spent most of her adult life in Monroe, LA, with her former husband, David Seffens. Together they enjoyed weekends boating on the river. She loved music, dancing and spending time with family and friends. In the late 90’s, she followed her daughters to Bossier City, where she continued her career in furniture sales. After retirement, she devoted her time to her grandchildren, sewing, and gardening. Anna was a loving sister, mother, aunt, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the nursing and therapy staff of Pilgrim Manor Rehabilitation Center for their loving care of Anna for the past six years.
Anna and her father suffered from Alzheimer’s Disease, therefore, the family requests that donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, in lieu of flowers.
