Elm Grove - Pete passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2015, surrounded by both of his daughters. A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 12, 2015 at South Bossier Baptist Church on Sligo Road, Bossier City. Officiating will be Rev. Chris Young.
Pete was born in Missouri to Glenn Hamilton and Mildred Faulkner Hamilton. He joined the Air Force at the age of 17 and served four tours in Vietnam. His last active duty station was Barksdale AFB and he decided to remain in this area. He started a second career as a successful salesman for various areas of construction. He was the Director Emeritus of the El Karubah Temple, past director of the Sandman Unit, and was a past director of the Royal Order of Jesters. Pete was an avid deer hunter and loved spending time at his deer lease in Del Rio, TX with his brothers. He also loved to hunt duck and turkey, and served as the past president of the Northwest Louisiana Turkey Federation.
Preceding Pete in death are his parents. Left to cherish is memory are his daughters, Lisa Ann Gray, Joey Jean Cebulske, and husband Tim; grandchildren, Justin Rooks and wife Kat, Brittany Ann Rooks, Sidney Ferrell and husband Charlie, Jessy Jean Cebulske and Daisy Jayne Cebulske; great-grandchildren, Jayda Annmarie Simms, and Adalynn Elizabeth Simms, and due December 12th, Elijah William Ferrell (Little Pete); brothers, Charles Hamilton and wife Mary, Elaine Hamilton, Melvin Hamilton and wife Wanda, numerous nieces and nephews. Pete was blessed to have friends as close as family, adopted brother, Robert Lee and wife Linnie; adopted son, Robbie Lee and wife Kathy; adopted daughter, Teala Lang and husband Bill; adopted grandchildren, Heather, Shannon, Chase, Chad, and Chance.
Pete truly made a difference in the world he blessed.
