After moving on from the service, Mike would continue working in the mechanical field as an engineer. From 1972 to 2012, Mike would start from an entry level assembly line position working his way up to project engineer designing and re-designing yard trimmers and chainsaws. Throughout his life he would embrace the outdoors and traveling as two of his many passions. From hunting trips around the US to train trips in Colorado, and gold prospecting in Arizona, you could always find Mike on the open road.
