Judy Francis Yeager Bush, 69, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on February 3, 2014, after a courageous and prolonged battle to recover from a stroke.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb¬ruary 8, 2014, at Church of the Holy Cross, where Judy was a long-time member, 875 Cotton Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. The Reverend Mary Richard will be officiating. A reception for Judy's many friends and family will follow in the undercroft of the church.
Judy was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on July 29, 1944. Her family later relocated to Bossier City where she graduated from Bossier High School in 1962.
Judy was married to William Hardy "Bill" Bush on November 29, 1963, in Montgomery, Alabama. They recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.
Judy was a dedicated homemaker, mother and eventually the world's greatest grandmother to her precious William Lee Bush Newman, as he was her favorite.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Bill, her daughters Jennifer Bush and Terri Bush, her brother Jerry Yeager and sister-in-law Judy, grandson William, and other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother Louise Riggins Yeager Johnson, her father Otis Yeager, and her brother, Guin Yeager.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to The Philadelphia Center in Shreveport, where Judy proudly served as Volunteer Coordinator for several years.
The family wishes to thank the dedicated caretakers at Willis-Knighton Pierremont, the Willis-Knighton Stroke Rehabilitation Center, Willis-Knighton South, Promise Hospital, Gamble Guest Care Spring Lake, and Heritage Manor Stratmore, as well as the many friends who visited and encouraged her during her long struggle to recover. She fought very courageously and your sup¬port and prayers were the source of her strength.
