Janice Taylor

Janice Taylor passed from this life in the morning hours of August 16, 2014, in the presence of wonderful friends, to whom our family will be forever grateful for the support and love they provided. She was born in Utica, New York on November 22, 1947, and was married to John Taylor. Janice and John shared a passion for sailing. She raised two wonderful children while balancing a career and serving her community. Janice cared for others as a nurse and was an instructor of nursing at Eastern College and raised two wonderful children. Janice was a member of American Legion of Shreveport and she held several positions, including President of District 4 and, most recently, served as State Chaplin of the American Legion of Louisiana. Janice is survived by her sons, John Lohnas and Todd Lohnas, as well as her grandchildren Ty Lohnas (age 11), Jessica Lohnas (age 7) and Brayden Lohnas (age2). Private services will be held for Family and Friends.
