Donald Franklin Tanner

Donald Franklin Tanner "Franky", 32, a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. He was born October 3, 1986 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Franky was a very giving person and always put others before self. He was truly a loving, caring and generous person. He was an accomplished self-taught musician on guitar and drums and enjoyed playing chess and video games. He was also an avid reader.  He will be dearly missed by everyone.

Franky is survived by his father, Donald Ray Tanner; mother and step-father, Dana Rene Francis and her husband John Francis; sister, Crystal Kendrick and her husband Aaron and their 5 children (Franky's nieces and nephews whom he loved deeply) Taylor Porter, Anna Porter, Aaron Kendrick “AJ”, Raelynn Kendrick, Christian Kendrick; grandparents, Terry and Martha Bordelon, John and Carol Muhlhausen; aunts and uncles, Keith and Debra Yeager, Kevin Teller, Ruben Wall, Mark and Stacy Wilson, Darryll and Diane Tanner, Terry “Bubba” and Vanessa Bordelon, Mike and Laura Gilbert, Brian and Leslie Nallin; a host of cousins, Ryan Short, Cory Teller, Landon Wall, Cade Wall, Gracie Wall, Abby Wilson, Weston Wilson, Chelsea Tanner, Reed Tanner, Derek and Becca Gilbert, Adam Gilbert, Jacob Gilbert, Aaron and Victoria Nallin, Cole Nallin, Shelby Nallin, Norah Belle Nallin; his best friend, Ira Harrison.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald C. Tanner and Frank R. Teller; grandmother, Gloria Teller; cousin, Daniel Gilbert.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 204 Patton Ave., Shreveport, LA 71105 on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:30 AM.
