Bobby Ray Rollins, 72, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He was born in Mendenhall, Mississippi on June 3, 1947 to Flossie Irene Kirkpatrick Rollins and Ike Rollins. He was preceded in death by both parents and wife, Cyndi Rollins. Bob loved to play music, collect comic books and enjoyed spending time with his treasured fur baby, Riley.
He is survived by two children, Tiffany Rollins Ruiz and husband Jesse of Jacksonville, Florida and Chris Rollins and wife Melissa of Benton, Arkansas; brother, David Rollins and wife Annette of Shreveport, Louisiana; two step-children, Marisa Applebury and husband Mike of Ft Worth, Texas, and Jessica Migues and husband Joey of Shreveport, Louisiana; nephew, David Rollins, Jr. and wife Shannon of Thompson Station, Tennessee; and niece, Samantha Rollins of Dallas, Texas. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren, Lauren Neilsen and husband Rick, Corey Hudson and wife Brooke, Tyler Hudson and wife Lauren, Josh Hudson, Hannah Hudson, Aaron Rollins, Jonathan Rollins and wife Ashlee, Brandon Migues, Jacob Coats and Colby Coats; six great-grandchildren, Blain Neilsen, Katyn Shelton, Kynleigh Neilsen, Rylan Hudson, Regan Hudson and Ryleigh Hudson; three great-nieces, Chloe Rollins, Emily Rollins, Macy Rollins, and one great-nephew, Seth Rollins.
Bob is a Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served six years as a Navy ATR2 Petty Officer 2nd Class. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his honorable service during wartime.
A memorial service will take place at a later date and details will be announced once the COVID-19 precautionary measures have been lifted.
