Charles “The Colonel” R. Williams went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 10, 2019 after fighting a long term illness. His memorial service will be held at Red Oak Villa in Minden, La, on Monday, April 22nd, 2019 at 11 a.m with Pastor Josh Beshea officiating. The Colonel was born on August 22, 1936 in Georgia. The Colonel was a member of the Minden Baptist Church. He was faithful to his Lord Jesus, and enjoyed reading scripture on a regular basis. His artwork brought him great joy; he loved sharing his artwork with his friends and church members. He also enjoyed walking and fishing. His life is reflected in this verse, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1 KJV
The Colonel has no known survivors in his family, but he has many friends that will cherish his memory. He will be truly missed and his legacy will live on.
