Dan John Brannan

d. September 4, 2018

Funeral services for Dan will be 12:00 PM, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Blanchard.  Officiating will be Rev. Dale Sauls and Rev. James Hill.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time. Pallbearers will be Michael Beers, Jason Bruce, Nathan Malone, Tyler Quinn, Matt Hemingway and Glen Pennock.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bentley Beers, Cecil Gongre and Tommy Brannan.

Danny worked over 30 years with Kansas City Southern Railroad as a machinist.  He never met a stranger and could fix anything.  He loved using his talents to create new things and collecting items that many would throw out.  He could be found outdoors on his tractor or in his workshop.  He loved all of God’s creatures as long as they stayed outside.  In his early years, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Preceding Danny in death are his parents, Dan and Helen Brannan.  Left to cherish precious memories are his wife of 52 years Faye Brannan; daughter, Melissa Malone and husband Michael; grandchildren, Lacie Bruce and husband Jason, Halie Beers and husband Michael, Nathan Malone; great-grandchildren, Bentley and Henry Beers; siblings, Sarah Lanier and husband Joe and Tommy Brannan; and many nieces and nephews.

He was always the person that would save the day for everyone.  He always would jump in and rescue anyone in need.  He touched many hearts and he leaves the world a better place with his love and compassion.  God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.
