Cindy McCathern

Services for Cindy McCathern will be held in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home, Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 1:00 PM. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM. Mrs. McCathern passed away July 18, 2007, in Bossier City. She was born on June 12, 1956, in Shreveport. Cindy worked as a nurse for several years before becoming a mother. She was a very passionate and caring person; always looking after the needs of others. Cindy loved spending time with her family, her Yorkie, Jake, and especially her two granddaughters. She never met a stranger, enjoyed gardening, and loved to read. Cindy is survived by her husband of 33 years Mike McCathern; son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Sandy McCathern and their two daughters: Laurel and Tatum; daughter and son-in-law: Kimberly and Brandon Dial; mother Shirley Loe; grandmother Dorothy Pollock; brothers: Mike Loe and wife Debra, Matt Loe; nieces and nephews: Becky, Natalie, Machelle, and J.C. She was preceded in death by her father James "Jimmy" Loe, and grandfather John Pollock. The family suggests in lieu of flowers to please make donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to American Cancer Society.
