Jack Bruce Markham

d. September 25, 2019

After a battle with cancer, Jack Markham passed away on September 25, 2019 at age 65 in Shreveport, Louisiana. His infectious laugh and ever present smile were with him until the end. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, JB and Betty Markham, his sister Janice Lang, and his brother Ed Markham. He is survived by his sister, Peggy Fenner of Shreveport, Louisiana, nieces Janelle Hedges of Littleton, Colorado, and Melanie Fenner of Shreveport, Louisiana, nephews Trey Burns of Thornton, Colorado, Steve Markham of Oceanside, California, and Charlie Fenner and Jed Fenner of Shreveport, Louisiana. He also leaves behind one great-niece, Katelynn Hare, of Shreveport, Louisiana, who was by his side at the end, along with lots of other great nieces and nephews that he enjoyed spending time with.

Jack was born and raised in Shreveport, then attended LSU Baton Rouge where he was a member of SAE Fraternity and made many lifelong friends who always stood by him. He graduated from Centenary College with a degree in Geology and worked as a geologist and land man for many years.

Jack’s kind heart, positive spirit, and amazing wit will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Jack leaves us saying “Adios muchachos, to all my dear friends”.
